Build a Foundation of Essential Skills
The employees of today’s trucking industry are involved in customer relations, detailed equipment inspections and a host of related regulations. All of these tasks require a strong foundation in the Essential Skills of reading text, document use and math.
The Canadian Trucking Human Resources Council (CTHRC) has identified the level of Essential Skills for each occupation in the National Occupational Standards Chart of Competencies. And you can make sure you have the right level of Essential Skills to perform your job.
The Test of Workplace Essential Skills (TOWES) available through one of our recognized distributors can determine your individual needs, while the self directed workbooks will help to establish the skills for learning in the years to come. Each lesson draws on the language of the trucking industry, with references to the workplace needs that are a reality every day.
