The Alliance of Sector Councils

What do Sector Councils do for You?

Just over a decade ago, 23 Sector Councils were formed to serve an array of industries within the Canadian economy. The number of Councils has grown, but their goals remain the same -- to improve the quality of the Canadian labour force and help industries address changing competitive demands.

Sector Councils provide practical insight into the future of these industries by drawing together corporate executives, operators of smaller firms, employees, union leaders, educators and government representatives. Collectively, they address a wide range of issues linked to technological change, quality standards, planning and human resources.

Every sector of the economy is unique, and the Canadian Trucking Human Resources Council (CTHRC) meets needs in the economic sector we call our own.
